Content Workline Kelshall

Reporting cycle

Autumn outcomes, spring attendance, summer only when the board insists

We do not run a generic quarterly calendar. Packs are dated to the meeting you name and to the freeze your data manager can actually hit.

Brick school building across a grass playing field

Schools in England live by term dates, results days, and the clerk’s publication deadline — usually seven days before the meeting. Independent training providers live by intake cohorts, funding years, and quality committees that may sit in August. Content Workline keeps both calendars on the wall in Kelshall so we do not promise a primary school a July full pack, or a provider a half-term that does not exist.

A typical school year with us

  1. September–October Lock the indicator list while staff still remember last year. Commission the annual pack if the autumn FGB wants validated or near-validated outcomes. Send the extract checklist to the data manager before the first inset week ends.
  2. November–December Final autumn pack, briefing with head and chair, clerk’s file copy. We will not start a new full pack in the last ten days of term.
  3. January–March Mid-year attendance briefing and in-year assessment notes if the spring committee asked for them in the autumn minutes. Same freeze date on every chart.
  4. April–July Inspection-window charts only if a self-evaluation already exists. Full annual packs in July are possible for some secondaries; most primaries are better served by waiting until September.

Training-provider quality committees

We time the quality report to your committee date, not to school half terms. If subcontractors report a month later than your own programmes, they get a dated annex rather than being folded into an older achievement chart. Employer-providers often brief in the late afternoon after the workshop closes; we keep those slots.

What we need from you, by week

Week minus four: scoping note accepted and deposit invoiced. Week minus three: extract received. Week minus two: first draft. Week minus one: second draft and briefing. Paper day: clerk circulates. If the extract slips, the meeting date slips, or we reduce the pack to a briefing — we will not compress honesty into two days.
