Cookies
A cookie is a small text file a site stores in your browser. This page lists what we use and how you can refuse the optional ones.
Essential cookies remember your consent choice so the banner does not return on every page load. Optional analytics cookies, if you accept, help us see which pages are read — not who a named governor is. Rejecting optional cookies does not block enquiry forms, report pages, or the journal. See also the privacy notice.
Cookies table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| contentWorkline_cookieConsent | Stores Accept or Reject so we can honour the choice | 12 months (browser localStorage) | Content Workline |
| cw_analytics | Optional page-view count if you accepted analytics | 6 months | Content Workline |
Managing cookies
Use Accept or Reject on the banner. Clearing site data in your browser removes the stored choice and the banner will show again. You can also block cookies in browser settings; essential storage may then reset on each visit.
Third-party cookies
Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. Google may receive your IP address when the font files are fetched. Embedded photographs are requested from Unsplash’s image service; Unsplash may log that request. We do not set marketing pixels. If we ever add a map or video embed, this table will name it before it goes live.
If you disable cookies
The site remains readable. The banner may reappear. Optional analytics will not run. Forms still send to the mock endpoint described in the contact page behaviour.
